JAB Portal - Joe takes on the Ironman challenge in Alcudia, Majorca

On Saturday 10 May Joe Robson participated in one of endurance sport’s most challenging events: the Half Ironman in Alcudia, Majorca.  

The race consisted of a 1.2-mile (1.9 km) sea swim, a 56-mile (90 km) bike ride, and a 13.1-mile (21.1 km) run and Joe smashed it out of the park finishing in 6 hours 10 minutes. Clearly not put off Joe is now back training hard for the full Ironman in Cascais, Portugal on 18 October which will see Joe tackling a 3.8 km swim, 180 km cycle, and a full 42.2 km marathon raising money for money for Laura’s Light, a mental health charity supporting projects across London and Essex.
